Copenhagen 1 - The Little Mermaid - The Hans Christian Andersen's story about a mermaid who fell in love with a prince. Copenhagen 2 - School children were drawing the mermaid the morning I was there.
Copenhagen 3 - The Stork Fountain on the Strøget. The “Storks” are in fact herons. Copenhagen 4 - Entertainers on the Strøget.
Copenhagen 5 - The Strøget is a pedestrian walkway where the best and most expensive stores are next to cheap tourist shops. Copenhagen 6 - You can't go too far in Denmark without coming across Hans Christian Andersen.

Copenhagen 15 - Skt. Albans Kirke and the Gefion Fountain Copenhagen 16 - Gefion Fountain - In an ancient legend, Gefion was the goddess who ploughed the island of Zealand out of Sweden.
Copenhagen 17 - The Swedish king Gylfe offered Gefion as much land as she was capable of ploughing within one day and night. Copenhagen 18 - She transformed her four sons into powerful oxen and had them plough the land and pulled it into the sea.
