Recreation

There are plenty of recreational activities that the C & O Canal can accommodate. Activities include walking, hiking, jogging, bicycling, canoeing, kayaking, birding, fishing, picnicking, plus horseback riding and camping in designated areas. The natural setting provides many opportunities for photographers. It is always a good idea to bring a camera.

The photograph on the left was taken during the fall, near Great Falls. The fall is my favorite time of year to take photographs along the C & O Canal.
